HOW TO USE

Gentle, nourishing, and deeply supportive, Ease On Down The Road is a milky oats tincture made for daily nervous system care.

Available in a 2oz alcohol tincture or a 2oz vinegar tincture.

Take 20 to 40 drops (approximately 1 to 2 droppers full) under the tongue, or in a small amount of water, juice, or tea two to three times daily. Milky oats is a tonic herb and works best taken consistently over weeks and months rather than as a quick fix. The alcohol tincture extracts the full range of milky oats' active compounds and has the longest shelf life. The vinegar tincture is the right choice for those avoiding alcohol; it is slightly lower in potency but retains the nourishing, nervine character of the herb and pairs naturally with water, tonics, and salad dressings.

Milky oats are the same plant as oats (Avena sativa), but harvested at a very specific window, just days wide, when the grain is still soft, and the inside of each oat kernel releases a white, milky liquid when pressed. This is the stage herbalists prize, and it cannot be replicated from dried oatstraw or rolled oats. Curated and sourced by Kendra, founder and herbalist of The Herbal Scoop, Ease On Down The Road is prepared in small batches at our herbal shop in Narrowsburg, NY.

Ease On Down The Road was made for the person who has been running on empty, the one whose nervous system has been working overtime, managing chronic stress, sleeplessness, emotional fatigue, and the particular kind of exhaustion that doesn't go away with a good night's sleep. Milky oats is the herb herbalists have long reached for in exactly this situation: not a sedative but a deep, slow nourisher for a frazzled nervous system.

WHY CHOOSE EASE ON DOWN THE ROAD?

Our herbalist-curated milky oats tincture supports:

  • Nervous system recovery during periods of chronic stress and exhaustion
  • A calm, grounded mood as part of a daily wellness routine
  • Restful sleep and a more resilient stress response over time
  • Emotional steadiness during demanding seasons of life

ABOUT THIS HERB

Milky Oats (Avena sativa, milky stage): fresh milky oat tops, tinctured at peak harvest. This preparation is distinct from oatstraw (the dried aerial parts) or common oat products. Milky oats are harvested within a narrow window before the grain matures, when they contain the highest concentration of avenanthramides, beta-glucans, and saponins associated with the plant's traditional nervine properties. In herbalism, milky oats are classified as a nervine tonic, an herb that nourishes and restores the nervous system gradually over time, rather than producing an immediate sedative effect.

Note: Milky oats contain avenin, a protein related to gluten. Those with celiac disease or significant gluten sensitivity should consult their healthcare provider before use.

Ease On Down The Road is available in a 2oz alcohol tincture and a 2oz vinegar tincture. Both are made with milky oats and prepared in small batches in Narrowsburg, NY.
