HOW TO USE

Soft, floral, and gently golden, organic chamomile is a caffeine-free, loose-leaf bulk herb made for your evening wind-down. 2oz brews approximately 15 to 20 cups of loose-leaf herbal tea.

Steep one to two teaspoons in 8oz of just-boiled water for 3 to 7 minutes, covered, to preserve the volatile oils. Sweeten with honey if desired. For a more potent evening blend, steep up to 10 minutes and combine with lemon balm or lavender. Chamomile also makes a delicate cold brew: steep two tablespoons in cold water overnight for a floral iced tea.

Organic chamomile is one of the most beloved and trusted herbs in the world, with a history of use stretching back over 5,000 years across ancient Egypt, Rome, Greece, and medieval Europe. Revered for its delicate apple-like fragrance and its gentle action on the nervous system, chamomile has been a go-to evening herb for generations. Herbalist-source by Kendra, founder and herbalist of The Herbal Scoop, our bulk chamomile is organic, sourced from a certified organic, kosher certified supplier, and sold in small batches from our herbal tea shop in Narrowsburg, NY so you always get the freshest, most potent chamomile available.

Soft, floral, and gently golden, chamomile is the herb many people return to. Whether you're winding down for the night, easing a nervous stomach, or building a daily calm ritual, chamomile is one of the most dependable and universally gentle herbs in the botanical world.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Does chamomile tea help with sleep?
Chamomile is one of the most widely used herbs for supporting restful sleep, and small clinical studies have looked at its effect on sleep quality with encouraging, though still limited, results. Many people drink a cup in the evening as part of a wind-down ritual. If you have chronic insomnia, it's worth discussing with your healthcare provider as part of a fuller plan.

Does chamomile tea help with anxiety?
Some research has explored chamomile extract for occasional worry and tension, including a few clinical trials showing modest improvements compared to placebo. NCCIH notes the research base is still developing. Chamomile tea is a gentle, daily-use herb rather than a fast-acting solution for ongoing anxiety, which is best addressed with a healthcare provider.

Is chamomile tea good for digestion?
Yes, traditionally. Chamomile has long been used to support digestive comfort and ease from occasional bloating and a nervous stomach. Germany's Commission E formally recognizes chamomile for this use. Many people drink it after meals as a gentle digestive ritual.

Is chamomile tea safe during pregnancy?
Some sources caution against regular chamomile tea during pregnancy due to limited safety data and traditional associations with uterine activity. Pregnant and breast/chest feeding people should consult their healthcare provider before adding chamomile to their routine.

Can I give chamomile tea to a baby or child?
Chamomile has traditionally been used in small amounts for children, but every situation is different. Always consult your child's pediatrician before giving any herb, including chamomile, to an infant or young child.
